Opportunities for supporting businesses through REGIO

BIRDA was one of the co-organizers of the "From research to innovation: competitiveness through new technologies" event which took place in Bucharest during the April, 9th - April 10th 2009 period. Our representatives presented the "Funding opportunities in the Bucharest-Ilfov region" and the "Structures for supporting businesses through REGIO".

The event was organized by the Ministry of Education, Research and Innovation, the National Authority for Scientific Research, through INCD-Micro-technology (IMT-Bucharest) and MINATECH-RO in collaboration with the Chamber of Trade and Industry of the Municipality of Bucharest, the Bucharest-Ilfov Regional Development Agency and the Managerial Agency for Scientific Research, Innovation and Technological Transfer.

During the first day IMT-MINAFAB was launched, a micro and nano-production facility which also ensures the characterization, simulation and computer assisted design. This facility will operate as a services center which facilitates collaboration for research, education and innovation as well as the direct access to equipment.

During the second day at the Romanian Chamber of Trade and Industry and the Bucharest Chamber of Trade and Industry the "Access of innovative SME-s to technology and funding sources" seminar was conducted.
